It does rain in Uzes

On Wednesday the 18th of June, we experienced something odd in Uzes.  It rained during the day.  In the 50 days prior, we could remember it raining only twice, and both times were in the evening or night.  So it was quite special to witness the rain teaming down from our third story apartment, which afforded us a birds’ eye view of streams of water pouring out of downpipes and into the streets, along with people dashing for cover or proving (like Melbournians) that you should always carry an umbrella (or something else to cover you).
Two days before we departed Uzes, on Friday the 4th of July, we had a second big daytime downpour.

On the 4th July, high winds shredded the near new flag on the Duke's Palace.
