Elle and Kate in Paris (part 1)

My previous trips to Paris have been when I was:
  • (relatively) poor, as a backpacker in 1996; or
  • somewhat encumbered (delightfully) by child/ren and husband/ tour-leader in 2005 and, of course, a few weeks ago.
Two days in Paris with just my gorgeous sister Kate offered me a chance to experience a different Paris!
Sightseeing
Both of us having been lucky enough to have seen the major sights before, this time we had very compatible agendas: setting out from our tiny apartment in its 600 year-old building in the Marais, our days were planned around finding the best coffee and the most delicious gateaux, interspersed with looking at beautiful things, with incidental glimpses of the Eiffel Tour, the Louvre and Sacre Coeur along the way.
